Engineer Trainee – 600 Posts

Qualification : B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical /Electrical/ Electronics with 65% marks
Age as on 1-08-2009 : 27 years for Graduates
( Candidates born before 01-August-1982 are not eligible to apply).
29 years for Post Graduates (Full Time) of Engg. or Business Admn/ Mgmt.
( Candidates born before 01-August-1980 are not Eligible to apply).

Supervisor Trainee – 600 Posts

Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical/ Electronics with 65% marks
Age as on 1-08-2009 : 27 years
(Candidates born before 01-August-1982 are not eligible to apply).

Training, Emoluments
Engineer Trainee :
The Selected Candidates will be placed on training for one year. During training, basic pay
of Rs.10750/- in the scale of pay of Rs.10750-430-16750/- will be paid. After successful
completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Engineer in the scale of pay of
Rs.11225-450-17525/- with a basic pay of Rs.11225/-

Supervisor Trainee :
The Selected Candidates will be placed on training for one year. During training,
basic pay of Rs.5600/- in the scale of pay of Rs.5600-150-8600/- will be paid.
After successful completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Assistant Engineer

Procedure to Apply :
All eligible candidates are required to fill in the ONLINE application form and submit the same
Download the Triplicate SBI Challan copy . and fill the required details. After filling the
details in the above challan, it has to be deposited with the fee of Rs. 400/
(For General Candidates / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and for Supervisor Trainees Rs300/
( For General Candidates / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) at any of the SBI branches all over
the country. and – SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates are exempted from payment
of fee . One Copy of acknowledgement slip may be retained by the Candidate.
Another copy of Acknowledgement Slip, duly signed by the applicant and with his/her
recent photograph pasted on the slip along with BHEL Challan copy Category certificates,
if applicable may be sent to the following address: Sr. DGM (HR) Engineer Trainee
Recruitment Cell HRM Department, Building 24 BHEL, Tiruchirappalli-620014 .
The candidate should necessarily super scribe the Envelope containing the
above documents, position applied i.e. ‘Engineer Trainee’ OR ‘ Supervisor Trainee’
and the discipline applied for e.g. ‘Mechanical’ .

Commencement of on-line submission of applications : 31st August, 2009.
